Opps, I did it again....

Trusted the wrong person.......Well yesterday was a day....On Tuesday I was contacted by a client that I had met once, and who I thought was a good guy.....He contacted me on Tuesday to secure a date for Wednesday morning. When we had our first date, because of the type of business her ran, I had asked him if he'd be interested in doing some work for me at my apartment. He had agreed and said he would get back to me about that. A couple months went by without hearing from him so I assumed he'd decided he didn't want the work. When he contacted me for another date on Tuesday, he also mentioned we could also discuss doing that work, which convinced me that he'd show up.......Then Wednesday morning came, and an hour and 1/2 prior to our scheduled date he text to say he couldn't make the date. I text him back to let him know I would require a cancellation fee, to which he didn't respond, of course!! I don't want to be indiscreet by describing the nature of his business, or anything else that would describe his "type", but there have been 3 such "types" who I have misread as good guys and who have come to see me after paying the deposit, booked again, then cancelled just before our second date was to occur, and very clearly, they did this purposefully. But here is the interesting thing....Whenever this has happened, whenever some douche books me to purposely cancel last minute, another client pops up and makes a date which makes me glad the other date didn't happen..... Early Wednesday morning I had received an email from an unknown person, so I ignored it, I ignore all texts and emails from unknown clients/people, and later that morning I received a phone call from that same person. He was wanting to book a 2 hour date for that evening....We talked and we each decided it would be fun to meet......He was lovely. Brought a bottle of wine, some fruit, and tipped me a 100$....Moral of the story, when an asshole appears, always, always, a knight in shining armour also appears....It's funny how the universe takes care of good people....Even so, because of this last asshole,, I will be expecting a deposit from every new client on their second, 3rd even 4th visits. Unfortunately, because of those assholes, new clients will have to prove themselves to be trustworthy.....
