Misogyny is alive and well....

This really angered me.....So I'm speaking about it here, as I've no where else to vent about this type of ongoing nonsense...There is a thread on a RB about grooming. One of it's female escort members added her comments to that thread. Justifiably so, it seems, since she advertises that she offers men's grooming services along with her escort services and she also apparently has previous experience in hair care/grooming. So her advice, I would think, would be valued/welcomed, at least by those normal thinking and normal acting members....Yet one of the ignorant male members chastised her, for as he put it "for turning every thread into something about you"...His Quote-"Don’t make every post about you. I know you are trying to find a gig. But honestly it’s annoying to see you comment on every post out here even if it’s nothing to do with you. This is about self grooming nothing else. Why don’t you start a new thread saying you provide these services rather than commenting on a thread where everyone is discussing about general hygiene".-end quote The escort came back with the comment- Her Quote- "I'm not engaging with you, probably turns you on to speak down to escorts"-end quote....And I say, good for her!!...More people on that site need to stand up to those who think they've a right to bully or insult anyone. Then another ignorant male member came on to shame that escort for saying what she said- His Quote-"That might be grasping a bit to just turn and insult someone.  Do better, especially while you are trying to build your rep. You even quoted in another post the Lyla montra, If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Don't be a hypocrite".-End quote. Notice, he didn't chastise the other male member for being rude, or for "grasping a bit". He only took issue with the female escort. What angers me most was his implication that her standing up for herself would somehow tarnish her reputation......What a misogynistic, ignorant prick!!

The female escort apologized and removed her comment, which also angered me...I understand that she most likely did so to keep the peace and to end the stupidity of what started all of that vitriol, but she should have, imo, pointed out to that ignorant male, that the rude comment which caused her to react, should have also been retracted. But that ignorant male clearly doesn't have the class, and self awareness, that lovely woman has. Neither of those men deserve to be called men, imo.....It's typical for the misogynists like them, to single out and target women, because as much as they need us, they hate us, and they hate us, probably because they can't live without us....They'll talk about women as though we're disposable objects. They'll talk down to us as if they're somehow superior to us and, they'll never openly admit their despise of us, yet when they speak, as this thread shows, it's easy to hear.....

And if you don't already know, and want to know, why things like this bother me, and why I speak about them. Well.....I'm obviously opinionated. I clearly dislike those boards, and I also find it important to keep track of what is being said, and by whom, and to speak openly and honestly about it all. Also, I'm a working escort. So, keeping track of the good and bad is not only important to my safety, but my sanity as well. I also feel I've the experience and understanding to speak about such topics.....My opinions might not always be welcomed, nor appreciated, and so be it. I'll still voice them....like it or not, lol.
